Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement FE3
Removal Procedure
- Remove the radiator. Refer to
Radiator Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the hoses from the power steering cooler.
- Remove the power steering cooler retaining screws.
- Remove the power steering cooler.
Installation Procedure
- Install the power steering cooler.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the power steering cooler retaining screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).
- Install the hoses to the power steering cooler.
- Install the radiator. Refer to
Radiator Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
- Bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement FE1
Removal Procedure
- Remove the intake air resonator. Refer to
Intake Air Resonator Replacement
in Engine Controls 2.6 L and 3.2 L.
- Disconnect the power steering cooler hoses.
- Remove the power steering cooler retaining bolt.
- Remove the power steering cooler from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the power steering cooler to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the power steering cooler retaining bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the power steering cooler hoses.
- Install the intake air resonator. Refer to
Intake Air Resonator Replacement
in Engine Controls 2.6 L and 3.2 L.
- Bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
