Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement FE3

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 802847  Size: SH
  1. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the hoses from the power steering cooler.
  3. Remove the power steering cooler retaining screws.
  4. Remove the power steering cooler.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 802847  Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering cooler.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the power steering cooler retaining screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).

  5. Install the hoses to the power steering cooler.
  6. Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 830744  Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake air resonator. Refer to Intake Air Resonator Replacement in Engine Controls 2.6 L and 3.2 L.
  2. Disconnect the power steering cooler hoses.

  3. Object Number: 830746  Size: SH
  4. Remove the power steering cooler retaining bolt.
  5. Remove the power steering cooler from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 830746  Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering cooler to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the power steering cooler retaining bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the power steering cooler hoses.
  6. Install the intake air resonator. Refer to Intake Air Resonator Replacement in Engine Controls 2.6 L and 3.2 L.
  7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
