Removal Procedure
- Remove the front carpet. Refer to Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the push pin (2) from the duct (1) and the carpet.
- Disconnect the wiring (1) from the duct.
- Press the tab to release the duct from the HVAC module.
- Disconnect the duct from the module.
- Remove the rear duct nut (1).
- Remove the air outlet duct (1).
Installation Procedure
- Install the air outlet duct (1).
- Install the rear duct nut (1).
- Connect air outlet duct to the HVAC module.
- Connect the wiring (1) to the duct.
- Install the push pin (2) from the duct (1) and the carpet.
- Install the front carpet. Refer to Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
