Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front carpet. Refer to Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  2. Object Number: 788970  Size: SH
  3. Remove the push pin (2) from the duct (1) and the carpet.
  4. Disconnect the wiring from the duct.

  5. Object Number: 756215  Size: SH
  6. Press the tab to release the duct from the module.

  7. Object Number: 756234  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the duct from the module.

  9. Object Number: 760776  Size: SH
  10. Remove the rear duct nut (1).
  11. Remove the air outlet duct.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air outlet duct (2).

  2. Object Number: 760776  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear duct nut (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the air outlet duct.

  7. Connect the duct to the module.
  8. Connect the wiring to the duct.

  9. Object Number: 788970  Size: SH
  10. Install the push pin (2) from duct (1) and carpet.
  11. Install the front carpet. Refer to Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
