Removal Procedure
- Open the front and rear doors.
Important: New retainers are required for the installation of the rocker panel.
The retainer clips will break upon removal.
- Remove the front section of the rocker panel first.
- Pull the bottom edge of the rocker panel molding away from the
rocker panel in order to disengage the retainers.
- Use a flat-bladed tool and gently separate the front of the rocker
panel molding from the upper retainer clips.
- Carefully remove the front rocker panel molding from the body.
- Remove the rear section of the rocker panel second.
- Pull the bottom edge of the rocker panel molding away from the
rocker panel in order to disengage the retainers.
- Use a flat-bladed tool and gently separate the rear of the rocker
panel molding from the upper retainer clips.
- Carefully remove the rear rocker panel molding from the body.
- Remove the lower retainers by using a pair of needle nose pliers.
Pinch the tabs on the clip together and pull away from the vehicle to disengage.
- Remove the lower retainers from the rocker panel.
Installation Procedure
- Install the lower retainers
on the rocker panel.
- Install all new retainers into the molding.
- Position the rear rocker panel molding first to the body.
- Press the upper retainers into the rocker panel in order to secure
the molding.
- Secure the molding to the lower plastic retainers.
- Press the molding inward in order to secure.
- Position the front rocker panel molding to the body.
- Press the upper retainers into the rocker panel in order to secure
the molding.
- Secure the molding to the lower plastic retainers.
- Press the molding inward in order to secure.
- Close the front and rear doors.
