Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Navigation System?

  1. Turn ON the ignition with engine OFF. The Cadillac emblem screen appears on the navigation radio.
  2. Press the NAV button on the radio.
  3. When the navigation disclaimer screen appears, press the I AGREE button on the display.
  4. Press and release the voice recognition steering wheel control. After the chime is heard say RADIO. The radio display should now be displayed.

Test the OnStar voice recognition. Refer to OnStar Description and Operation .

Test the Navigation voice signal circuit for an open, a short to ground, or a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the navigation radio. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the OnStar communication interface module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the navigation radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
