8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the part number
for the Door Module (DDSA, DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).
Battery Voltage: The scan tool displays 0 to 25.0 volts.
This is the current battery voltage level at the door module.
Calibration ID: The scan tool displays the calibration or program
revision level used in the PROM.
Component Serial # 8-11: The scan tool displays the first
partition of the door module serial number.
Component Serial # 12: The scan tool displays the second partition
of the door module serial number.
Component Serial # 13-16: The scan tool displays the
third partition of the door module serial number.
Component Serial # 17-18: The scan tool displays the
last partition of the door module serial number.
Deadbolt Actuator: The scan tool displays OFF/ON. This is the
door module output to the deadbolt actuator. Upon receiving a valid deadbolt request,
the door module supplies voltage and ground to the associated dead bolt actuator
to deadbolt the door as requested, and the scan tool displays ON in the appropriate
door modules data list. When the door module is not supplying voltage and ground
to the associated door lock actuator to deadbolt the door, the scan tool displays
OFF.
Dimming: The scan tool displays Inactive/Active. This is the
state of the door switches backlighting as detected by the associated door module.
When the door switches are illuminated, the scan tool displays Active in the appropriate
door modules data list. When the door switches are not illuminated, the scan tool
displays Inactive in the appropriate door modules data list.
Door Ajar Switch: The scan tool displays Off/On. Each one of
the vehicle doors has a door ajar switch. When a vehicle door is open, the associated
door ajar switch closes and the scan tool displays On for that switch in the appropriate
door modules data list. When a vehicle door is closed, the associated door ajar switch
opens and the scan tool displays Off for that switch in the appropriate door modules
data list.
Door Lock Switch: On vehicles w/V4U, the scan tool displays
Idle/Lock/Unlock for front and rear door lock switches. On vehicles w/oV4U, the
scan tool displays Idle/Lock/Unlock for front door lock switches, and Idle/Lock for
rear door lock switches. This is the state of the door lock switch as detected by
the associated door module, except for the driver door lock switch, which is detected
by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).
Driver Door Jamb Sw.: The scan tool displays Off/On. This is
the state of the driver door jamb switch as detected by the driver door module. When
the driver door is open, the switch closes and the scan tool displays On. When the
driver door is closed, the switch opens and the scan tool displays Off.
Driver Door Jamb Sw. -- Theft Information: The scan tool
displays Off/On. This is the state of the driver door jamb switch as detected by
the driver door module. When the driver door is open, the switch closes and the scan
tool displays On. When the driver door is closed, the switch opens and the scan tool
displays Off.
Hardware Level: The scan tool displays a number representing
the level of hardware incorporated into the Door Module (DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM,
LRDM, or RRDM).
Heated Mirror: The scan tool displays Off/On. This is the driver
door module (DDM) or the passenger front door module (PFDM) output to the associated
mirror. When the DDM or the PFDM supplies voltage and ground to the associated outside
rearview mirror heating element, the scan tool displays On in the appropriate door
modules data list. When the DDM or PFDM is not supplying voltage and ground to the
associated outside rearview mirror heating element, the scan tool displays Off.
Julian Date Of Build: The scan tool displays a number representing
the day of the year the module selected was built.
Key Cylinder Lock/Unlock: The scan tool displays Off/ON. On
domestic vehicles, this is the state of the key cylinder unlock switch as detected
by the driver door module (DDM). When the door key is inserted into the driver door
lock cylinder and turned to the unlock position, the scan tool displays On. When
the driver door lock cylinder is not being turned to the unlock position, the scan
tool displays Off.
On export vehicles, this is the state of the key cylinder lock switch as detected
by the driver door module (DDM). When the door key is inserted into the driver door
lock cylinder and turned to the lock position, the scan tool displays On. When the
driver door lock cylinder is not being turned to either the lock or unlock position,
the scan tool displays Off.
Left/Right Sensor: The scan tool displays 0.25 - 5.50 volts
(DDM and PFDM only). This is the mirror horizontal position sensor feedback voltage
as detected by the associated front door module, i.e. driver door module (DDM), or
passenger front door module (PFDM). The voltage varies directly with the horizontal
position of the associated outside rearview mirror.
Left Rear Door Jamb Sw.: The scan tool displays Off/On. This
is the state of the left rear door jamb switch as detected by the left rear door
module (LRDM). When the left rear door is open, the switch closes and the scan tool
displays On. When the left rear door is closed, the switch opens and the scan tool
displays Off.
Left Rear Door Jamb Sw. --Theft Information: The scan
tool displays Off/On. This is the state of the left rear door jamb switch as detected
by the left rear door module (LRDM). When the left rear door is open, the switch
closes and the scan tool displays On. When the left rear door is closed, the switch
opens and the scan tool displays Off.
LF Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express
Up/Express Dwn. This is the state of the driver door window switch as detected by
the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).
LR Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express
Dwn. This is the state of the drivers left rear window switch as detected by the
driver door switch assembly (DDSA).
Lock Actuator: The scan tool displays Idle/Lock/Unlock. This
is the door module output to the door lock actuator. Upon receiving a valid Lock
or Unlock request, the door module supplies voltage and ground to the associated
door lock actuator to lock or unlock the door as requested, and the scan tool displays
the corresponding position in the appropriate door modules data list. When the door
module is not supplying voltage and ground to the associated door lock actuator to,
either lock or unlock the door, the scan tool displays Idle.
Memory Recall Switches: The scan tool displays Idle/
Driver 1/Driver 2/Exit. This is the state of the memory function switch as detected
by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When a memory function switch button is
pressed, the scan tool momentarily displays the function pressed.
Mirror Fold Switch (Export): The scan tool displays Idle/In.
This is the state of the outside rearview mirror power fold switch as detected by
the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the power fold switch is not being operated
the scan tool displays Idle.
Mirror Motor: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Left/Right/Fold
In/Fold Out. This is the driver door module (DDM) or passenger front door module
(PFDM) output to the associated outside rearview mirror. When the DDM or the PFDM
supplies voltage and ground to the associated driver or passenger mirror motor to
move the mirror up, down, left, or right, or to Fold In or Fold Out, the scan tool
displays the corresponding direction in the appropriate door modules data list. When
the DDM or the PFDM is not supplying voltage and ground to a mirror motor, the scan
tool displays Idle.
Mirror Select Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Driver/Passenger.
This is the state of the mirror select switch as detected by the driver door switch
assembly (DDSA). The display indicates which mirror, if any, the operator has selected
for adjustment.
Mirror Switch: The scan tool displays Up/Down/Left/Right/Up-Left/Up-Right/Down-Left/Down-Right.
This is the state of the mirror position adjustment switch as detected by the
driver door switch assembly. When the mirror position adjustment switch is operated
in any of these directions, the scan tool displays the corresponding direction.
Module ID: The scan tool displays the module identity. The
driver door module and the left rear door module display DDM/LRD as an Input. The
passenger front door module and the right rear door module display PDM/RRD as an
Input. On vehicles w/V4U, the left middle door module and the right middle door module
display RMD/LMD as an Input.
Pass. Door Jamb Sw.: The scan tool displays Off/On. This is
the state of the passenger front door jamb switch as detected by the passenger front
door module (PFDM). When the passenger front door is open, the switch closes and
the scan tool displays On. When the passenger front door is closed, the switch opens
and the scan tool displays Off.
Pass. Door Jamb Sw. -- Theft Information: The scan tool
displays Off/On. This is the state of the passenger front door jamb switch as detected
by the passenger front door module (PFDM). When the passenger front door is open,
the switch closes and the scan tool displays On. When the passenger front door is
closed, the switch opens and the scan tool displays Off.
Personalization: The scan tool displays driver 1 or driver
2. This is the identity of the current driver as detected by the driver door switch
assembly (DDSA).
Personalization Option: This is the state of the personalization
option as it is stored in the Dash Integration Module (DIM). When Personalization
Option is selected, the scan tool displays the directions to activate or deactivate
the personalization option. The personalization option is normally set to the activated
state during assembly of the vehicle.
PROM ID: The scan tool displays the PROM ID of the driver door
switch assembly (DDSA).
RF Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express
Up/Express Dwn. This is the state of the drivers right front window switch as detected
by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).
RR Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express
Dwn. This is the state of the drivers right rear window switch as detected by the
driver door switch assembly (DDSA).
Rt. Rear Door Jamb Sw.: The scan tool displays Off/On. This
is the state of the right rear door jamb switch as detected by the right rear door
module (RRDM). When the right rear door is open, the switch closes and the scan tool
displays On. When the right rear door is closed, the switch opens and the scan tool
displays Off.
Rt. Rear Door Jamb Sw. --Theft Information: The scan tool
displays Off/On. This is the state of the right rear door jamb switch as detected
by the right rear door module (RRDM). When the right rear door is open, the switch
closes and the scan tool displays On. When the right rear door is closed, the switch
opens and the scan tool displays Off.
Software Level: The scan tool displays the four digit number
of the software incorporated into the Door Module (DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or
RRDM).
Up/Down Sensor: The scan tool displays 0.25 - 5.50 volts
(DDM and PFDM only). This is the mirror vertical position sensor feedback voltage
as detected by the associated front door module, i.e. driver door module (DDM), or
passenger front door module (PFDM). The voltage varies directly with the vertical
position of the associated outside rearview mirror.
Window Current: The scan tool displays amperage. This is the
electrical current being used by the window motor during operation as detected by
the associated door module.
Window Lockout LED (output): The scan tool displays Off/On.
This is the state of the LED indicator on the window lockout switch button as detected
by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the LED light is illuminated, the
scan tool displays On. When the LED indicator light is not illuminated, the scan
tool displays Off.
Window Lockout Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Pressed.
This is the state of the window lockout switch as detected by the driver door switch
assembly (DDSA). When the window lockout switch is not being operated, the scan tool
displays Idle.
Window Motor: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down. This is
the door module output to the associated window. Upon receiving a valid window Up
or Down request, the door module supplies voltage and ground to the associated window
motor to move the window in the requested direction and the scan tool displays the
corresponding direction in the appropriate door modules data list. When the door
module is not supplying voltage and ground to the associated window motor to move
the window in either direction, the scan tool displays Idle.
Window Motor Peak Current: The scan tool displays peak amperage.
This is the peak electrical current used by the window motor during window operation
as detected by the associated door module.
Window Switch Inputs: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express
Up/Express Dwn. for the front passenger door window, or, Idle/Up/Down/Express Dwn.
for a rear door window. This is the state of a passenger door window switch as detected
by the associated passenger door module (all door modules except DDSA and DDM).
Year Module Built: The scan tool displays the four digit year
of build for the module selected.
