Removal Procedure
- Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Remove the sunroof control unit. Refer to Sunroof Control Module Replacement .
- Remove the tape (5) securing the electrical harness to the sunroof actuator (4).
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (1,3) at the sunroof actuator.
- Cut the tie straps securing the electrical harness to the drive cable tube.
- Remove the rear compartment side trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
- Disconnect the electrical harness retainers from the rear sunroof drain hose.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (1) at the main body electrical harness (2).
- Carefully pull the harness from inside the vehicle up through and in behind the shoulder belt retractor.
- Remove the electrical harness from the vehicle.
Notice: Note the correct routing of the electrical wiring. Failure to reinstall the wiring properly could result in damage to the wiring.
Installation Procedure
- Position the single end connector first in behind the shoulder belt retractor down into the rear compartment.
- Connect the electrical connector (1) to the main body electrical harness (2).
- Install the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
- Secure the electrical harness clips to the rear drain hose.
- Connect the electrical connectors (1,3) to the sunroof motor.
- Secure the harness to the sunroof motor with new electrical tape (5).
- Connect the electrical connectors to the sunroof control unit.
- Install the control unit to the sunroof module.
- Ensure the locking tabs are secure.
- Secure the electrical harness to the drive cable tube with 2 new tie straps.
- Verify the operation of the sunroof.
- Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
