Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
  2. Move the sound insulator away from the shock tower.

    3. Object Number: 802116 Size: SH
  3. Remove the upper shock mounting nuts.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    5. Object Number: 802115 Size: SH
  5. Remove the lower shock mounting bolt.

    6. Object Number: 802117 Size: SH
  6. Remove the shock from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the shock to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 802115 Size: SH
  2. Install the lower shock mounting bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 150 N·m (111 lb ft).


    Object Number: 802117 Size: SH
  3. Guide the shock to the body while lowering the vehicle.

    4. Object Number: 802116 Size: SH
  4. Install the upper shock mounting nuts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Reposition the sound insulator around the shock tower.
  6. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
