  1. Install the thermostat housing with the thermostat to the engine.

  2. Object Number: 142124  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the thermostat housing bolts (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the thermostat housing bolts (1) to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Use new seals when installing the coolant pipe.
  6. Coat the new seals with engine coolant to assist in installation.

  7. Push the coolant pipe into the thermostat housing.

  8. Object Number: 159185  Size: SH
  9. Install the coolant pipe/engine lift bracket bolt (2).
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant pipe/engine lift bracket bolt (2) to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
