Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 242740 Size: SH
  1. Remove the heads from the lock housing shear bolts (1) by using a 6.5 mm drill bit (2).

    2. Object Number: 242747 Size: SH
  2. Remove the lock housing (3) from the steering column housing assembly (1).
  3. Remove the shear bolts (2) from the lock housing (3) using locking type pliers.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 242752 Size: SH
  1. Place lock in the RUN position.
  2. Install the lock housing (2) onto the steering column housing assembly (3).
  3. Install the new shear bolts (1) into the lock housing (2).

    4. Tighten
    The new shear bolts (1) until the heads separate from the shear bolt bodies.
