Did you perform the Exterior Lights Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check .

  1. Disconnect the hazard warning switch.
  2. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 6 of the hazard warning switch connector and a known good ground.

Does the voltage measure near the specified value?

B+

Go to Step  4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT A9.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT A9.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step  7

  1. Disconnect the turn signal lamp flasher K10.
  2. Use the DMM in order to measure the resistance between terminal 8 of the turn signal lamp flasher K10 connector and terminal 1 of the hazard warning switch connector.

Does the resistance measure near the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step  6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT FM22.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT FM22.

Did you complete the repair?

Replace the hazard warning switch. Refer to Accessory Trim Plate in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were previously disconnected.
  2. Verify that the hazard lamps operate properly.

Do the hazard lamps operate properly?
