Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check .

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Disconnect the WSW pump connector.
  3. Turn the WSWA switch to the MIST position.
  4. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 1 of the WSW pump connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits FA3 and/or FA80.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits FA3 and/or FA80.
  3. Replace the WSWA switch if these circuits are OK. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column On Vehicle Service.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Go to Step 7

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 2 of the WSW pump connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F30.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F30.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Replace the WSW pump. Refer to Washer Pump Replacement in Wiper/Washer System.

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the WSW pump operates properly.

Does the WSW pump operate properly?

--

System OK
