Installation Procedure
The inside rearview mirror
(automatic memory) attaches to a support which is secured to the windshield.
The window supplier uses a plastic poly-vinyl butyl adhesive to install this
support.
The service replacement windshield has the mirror support bonded to
the window. The following items are needed to install a detached mirror support
or to install a new part:

312® Adhesive Kit, or equivalent. |
• | Inside rearview mirror support |
• | Wax marking pencil or crayon |

the windshield:

1.2. | Measure 698 mm (27 1/2 in) from the pillar
to reach the center point of the windshield. |
- Use a wax pencil or use a crayon to mark the mirror support position
location on the outside of the windshield.
- Mark a larger diameter
circle (1) around the mirror support area.

compound to clean a large circle on the inside of the windshield surface.

powder or cleaning solution from the area.

to sand the bonding surface of the new inside rearview mirror (automatic memory)
support or the factory installed support.

the original inside rearview mirror (automatic memory) prior to reinstallation.
- Use a clean paper towel dampened with alcohol to wipe the sanded
mirror support.
- Allow the mirror support to dry.
- Follow the manufacturer's kit directions to prepare the inside
rearview mirror (automatic memory) support prior to the installation of the
window.
