Removal Procedure
- Slide the sunscreen all
the way rearward.
- Open the glass panel halfway.
- Remove the brush cover. Refer to
Brush Cover Replacement
- Remove the covers from the right and left side that conceal the
bolts for the glass panel adjustment.
- Remove the bolts from the glass panel for both sides.
- Loosen the bolts on both
sides. These adjustments raise or lower the glass panel.
- Adjust the front of the glass panel to 0.1 mm (1/32 in)
above the top surface of the roof panel
- Adjust the rear of the glass panel to 0.1 mm (1/32 in)
above the top surface.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts
to the glass panel for both sides.
Tighten
Tighten the glass panel bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Install the covers to
the right and to the left side that conceal the bolts for glass panel adjustment.
- Install the brush cover. Refer to
Brush Cover Replacement
.
- Close the glass panel.
- Slide the sunscreen closed.
