Manual Seat Lumbar Support Replacement First design seat back

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement
  2. Remove the front seatback cushion. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement

  3. Object Number: 246320  Size: SH
  4. Remove the front seatback lumbar adjuster plate (1).
  5. Remove the front seatback lumbar adjuster plate by pulling out.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 246320  Size: SH
  1. Install the front seatback lumbar adjuster plate.
  2. Install the front seatback lumbar adjuster plate by webbing into the seatback frame wiring.

  3. Install the front seatback cushion. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement
  4. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the front seatback cushion. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement

  3. Object Number: 246334  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws form lumbar adjuster cable.

  5. Object Number: 246336  Size: SH
  6. Remove the six springs and lumbar adjuster plate from seatback frame.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 246336  Size: SH
  1. Install the lumbar adjuster plate to seatback frame secure six springs.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screws to lumbar adjuster plate cable.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the lumbar adjust cable screws until fully seated and not stripped.

  5. Install the front seatback cushion. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement
  6. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
