Lumbar Adjuster Rods Replacement - Manual If equipped
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat. Refer to
Seat Replacement
- Remove the front Seatback cushion cover. Refer to
Front Seat Back Cushion Cover Replacement
Remove the front seatback cushion cover, cushion and heating element
does not have to be separated to replace lumbar components.
- Remove the lumbar adjuster
rods.
3.1. | Unsnap the ring from the end of the lumbar actuator to release
the rod. |
3.2. | Slide rod off of the lumbar actuator. |
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the lumbar
adjuster rods.
1.1. | Slide rods over the end lumbar actuator. |
1.2. | Snap the rings to the end of the lumbar actuator to secure rods. |
- Install the front seatback cushion cover. Refer to
Front Seat Back Cushion Cover Replacement
- Install the front seat. Refer to
Seat Replacement
