Was the Power Sun Roof System Check performed?

Go to Power Sunroof System Check

1. Install the scan tool.
2. The scan tool can be used to operate the sun roof actuator.
3. Attempt to operate the sun roof actuator with the scan tool.

Does the sun roof actuator operate when using the scan tool?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the sun roof actuator connector.
2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 1 of the sun roof actuator connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

1. Inspect fuse #25. If it is open, replace it.
2. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits A700 and/or A701.
3. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits A700 and/or A701.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 5 of the sun roof actuator connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit X700.
2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit X700.

Is the repair complete?

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 2 of the sun roof actuator connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F700.
2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F700.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Replace the sun roof actuator. Refer to Sunroof Actuator Replacement in Roof.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

--

1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
2. Verify that the sun roof actuator operates properly.

Does the sun roof actuator operate?

--

System OK
