Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 210530 Size: SH
  1. Disable SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System .
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
  4. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
  5. Remove the steering wheel tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
  6. Disconnect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil wiring harness connector.
  7. Remove all retaining rings and clips.
  8. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil from the steering column.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 210530 Size: SH
  1. Center the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil before installing it to the steering column. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Coil Centering - Off Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
  2. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil to the steering column.
  3. Connect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil wiring harness connector.
  4. Install the steering wheel tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
  5. Install the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
  6. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
  7. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
  8. Enable SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System .
