SERVICE MANUAL UPDATES PISTON TO BORE CLEARANCES

MODELS AFFECTED: 1982-1986 CIMARRONS

The 1982-1986 Cimarron Service Information Manual specifications for the piston-to-bore and piston-to-pin clearances for 2.OL L-4 engines need to be corrected:

Piston-to-bore clearance: = .0007" - .0017" (.017mm - .043mm)

Piston-to-pin clearance: 1982-1984 = .00026" - .00037" (.007mm - .009mm)

1985-1986 = .0002" - .0007" (Production) (.005mm - .018mm)

1985-1986 = .0004" - .0009" (Revised Service Parts) (.010mm - .022mm)

Please make the appropriate changes to your Service Information Manuals.
