The 1987 and 1988 HM 282 5-Speed Transaxle Exchange Program is scheduled to end on December 31, 1987. After this date, dealerships WILL BE required to overhaul these units. Dealerships will be able to overhaul these units before the program is over once all of the following have been completed.
-------- GMPST (Product Service Training) course number 17004.04 (one day) is available at all centers currently, pending local scheduling.
All essential tools were shipped to dealerships in September.
Service parts/overhaul packages are available through GM Service Parts Operations (SPO).
