CIMARRON WARRANTY TERMS IMPROVED- REVISED BOOKLET

Due to a recent decision, all 1986 Cimarrons will receive an enhanced Powertrain Warranty coverage to 36 months/36,000 miles from the current 24 months/24,000 mile coverage.

The 1986 Cimarron Warranty and Owner Assistance Information Booklet has been revised to include this change and is being installed at the Assembly Plant. For the 148 Cimarrons produced before September 23, it is necessary to replace the original Warranty Booklet with the revised booklet. Booklets which must be replaced may be identified by the words "Cimarron New Cars" on the front cover. Booklets with the wording "Fleetwood Brougham and Cimarron" contain the revised warranty terms and require NO action.

All 1986 Cimarrons with VIN 500001 through 500148 require this new booklet. If your dealership has been shipped one of these cars, (based on our shipping records), the necessary warranty(s) are attached. The booklet must be inserted into the 1986 Cimarron Owner's Literature portfolio and the old warranty booklet scrapped. Warranty booklets from affected 1986 Cimarrons in dealer stock should be replaced and customers who have purchased a 1986 Cimarron that is affected should be presented a new booklet.

Should additional Fleetwood Brougham and Cimarron Warranty booklets be needed, they are available from your Zone Office.
