ENGINE STALL/HESITATION AFTER COLD START AND DRIVEAWAY

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1986 J W/2.8L MPFI AND 3SPD.TRANS. (NEW SERVICE PROM)

Some 1986 J-cars with 2.8L MPFI engines (VIN Code W) and 3-speed automatic transmissions may experience a cold start stall or a hesitation during a cold driveaway.

To repair this condition, replace the PROM with one of the following service PROMs obtained from GMSPO.
