TRANSAXLE CONVERTER COVER- INTERFERENCE NOISE - REPAIR

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1985-86 'J' Car With THM 125C Transaxle (MD9)

Some 1985 and 1986 'J' cars with THM 125C automatic transaxles (MD9) may exhibit a noise generated by an interference condition between the plastic converter cover and the flexplate.

Vehicles exhibiting this condition may be repaired by trimming the converter cover in the area of the interference as shown in the illustration.

Use applicable Labour Time and Operation Number add 0.1 hours for trimming cover.
