Removal Procedure
  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. With the engine OFF, shift the transmission into Neutral.

    3. Object Number: 1204173 Size: MH

    Important: 

       • Detaching the shift control knob from the shift lever may require a large amount of physical effort.
       • Do not twist the shift control knob while pulling.

  3. Firmly grasp the shift control knob.
  4. Pull straight up to detach from the shift lever.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1204173 Size: MH
  1. Align the shift control knob to the shift lever.
  2. Firmly press down on the shift control knob in order to attach to the shift lever.

    3. An audible sound will be heard when the internal clip is fully seated.

  3. Shift the transmission into Park.
  4. Release the parking brake.
