The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When diagnosing a 2006 Cadillac DTS using the Tech 2 scan tool, the Technician may find that there is no scan tool communication with the Distance Sensing Cruise Control (DSCC) Module. The DSCC Module does communicate with the rest of the vehicle.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering is aware of the concern and are developing Tech 2 software to address this condition.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
