Preliminary Procedure

Important: Drain only the fluid from the radiator surge tank.

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .

Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Pipe Nuts (Qty: 2)

Tip
Using J 38185 , position the radiator surge tank hose clamps aside and remove the hose from the radiator surge tank and engine.
