Rear Compartment Lid Release Operation
In order for the rear compartment lid latch to release the trunk lid, the transaxle must be in the PARK position, the valet switch must be OFF and the trunk release button is pressed or the trunk symbol on the remote keyless entry transmitter is pressed.
The valet switch, located in the glove compartment, is used to enable and disable the trunk release system. Switching the valet switch to the ON position will disable the trunk release switch and the keyless entry trunk release thus preventing unauthorized
access to the trunk.
