J 44253 ABS Reluctor Installer

Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning in the Preface section.

1. Remove the wheel speed sensor (2). Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement.




Note: Do not reuse the wheel speed sensor reluctor after it has been removed.

2. Remove and discard the wheel speed sensor reluctor (1).

1. Apply Loctite® to the inner portion of the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2).
2. Insert the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2) onto the hub assembly.
3. Install the ring (1) of the J 44253 onto the wheel speed sensor reluctor.



4. Insert the J 44253  (1).

Note: Turn the J 44253 until it just touches the ring of the J 44253 .

5. Turn the J 44253  (1) to thread the wheel speed sensor reluctor.
6. Install the wheel speed sensor. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement.
