Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the interior trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.

Outside Door Handle Rod

Tip
Release the handle rod retainer with a flat-bladed tool.

Inside Lock Rod

Tip
Use a flat-bladed tool to release the inside lock rod from the lock.

Inside Handle Rod

Tip
Use a flat-bladed tool to release the inside handle rod from the lock.

Rear Side Door Lock Screw (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Rear Side Door Lock Assembly

Tip
Disconnect the electrical from the door lock.
