Preliminary Procedure
- Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning (A/C) system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Remove the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement.
- Unclip the brake lines retaining clip from engine frame to allow access to hose retaining nut.
Note: Seal the A/C system ports after the hose is removed in order to keep A/C system from being contaminated.
- Disconnect the A/C compressor and condenser hose electrical connector.

Tighten 16 N·m (12 lb ft) |

| Sealing Washer
Tip Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to
Sealing Washer Replacement. |

| A/C Compressor and Condenser Hose Retaining Nut
Tighten 16 N·m (12 lb ft) |

| Sealing Washer
Tip Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to
Sealing Washer Replacement. |

| A/C Compressor And Condenser Hose
Tip Leak test the fittings using
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector. |
