The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
A customer may comment the radio does not mute or go down to a volume level beneath the OnStar volume to allow the user to clearly hear the OnStar Turn By Turn message. The cause is in the radio software.
Do not attempt make any repair attempts. A software fix is in development for service applications and will be communicated to dealers as soon as it is available.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
