DIESEL ENGINE DIAGNOSIS SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

THIS BULLETIN CONTAINS REVISED DIESEL ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR 1982 SERVICE MANUAL TO INCLUDE THE CHANGES OUTLINED IN THIS BULLETIN.

I. CHART I, "ENGINE STARTS AND IDLES ROUGH WITH EXCESSIVE NOISE AND/OR SMOKE, BUT CLEARS UP AFTER WARM UP", UPDATES THE DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION ON PAGE 6-11 OF THE 1982 SERVICE MANUAL.

II. CHART 2 ON THE REVERSE SIDE, "DIESEL ENGINE IDLE ROUGHNESS DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE (CON'T)", UPDATES THE DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION ON PAGE 6-16 OF THE 1982 SERVICE MANUAL.

III. CHART 3, BELOW, CONTAINS REVISED GLOW PLUG DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION AND REPLACES THE "IF RELAY OPERATES" SECTION OF FIGURE 6A5-15 ON PAGE 6A5-16 OF THE 1982 SERVICE MANUAL.

IV. CHART 4 ON THE REVERSE SIDE, "GLOW PLUG RESISTANCE PROCEDURE" UPDATES THE DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION ON PAGES 6-17 OF THE 1982 SERVICE MANUAL.
