LOCKING WIRE WHEEL WRENCH INFORMATION

SOME WIRE WHEEL LOCK WRENCHES SUPPLIED WITH THE VEHICLE MAY NOT FIT THE LOCK- ING BOLTS. THE LOCK WRENCHES IN QUESTION ARE ITT THOMPSON AND ARE COLOUR CODED BLUE. IF THIS SITUATION IS ENCOUNTERED, A NEW BLUE WRENCH SHOULD BE ORDERED FROM THOMPSON INDUSTRIES USING THE PROCEDURE DESCRIBED IN PRODUCT SERVICE BULLETIN #101, GROUP 100, JANUARY 15, 1981.

WHEN NEW CARS ARE SERVICED FOR DELIVERY, THE TECHNICIAN SHOULD USE THE WRENCH THAT COMES WITH THE VEHICLE TO INSTALL THE WHEEL LOCK NUTS. THIS WILL ASSURE THAT THE WRENCH AND LOCK NUTS ARE COMPATIBLE.
