R-M (Inmont) has provided the attached color chips to help body technicians achieve better color matches when repairing certain basecoat/clearcoat colors on 1985 FWD De Villes and Fleetwoods.
Each basic color is available in three color formulations. Select the color chip that best matches the car and follow the instructions on the back of the color card. If additional tinting is required more of the specific tinting base or bases can be added to the mix.

1985 General Motors Exterior Basecoat/Clearcoat Color Variations ----------------
The R-M refinish paints for basecoat/clearcoat colors, illustrated on this color card are available at your local R-M jobber in Alpha-Cryl and Miracryl 2 Tintometer Intermix only.
This color card is designed to help the painters achieve better color matches on the Refinish point for some of the 85 GM basecoat/clearcoat colors.
- The card shows variations in color that can be obtained for the basecoat/clearcoat colors.
- The card can be folded at the appropriate color chips and laid on the car for comparison.
- The colors should be compared in daylight.
- Select the color chip that best matches the car.
This color can then be ordered from your R-M jobber in Alpha-Cryl or Miracryl 2 basecoat/clearcoat.
If additional tinting is required, more of the specific tinting base or bases that are in the formula can be added to the mix. We suggest you purchass the bases so they will be readily available for use. These bases are available at your local R-M Jobber.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
