This Bulletin provides current information regarding both the initial GRAM ordering procedure as well as the procedure to change the total number of GRAM microfiche sets each dealer receives.
The GRAM (General Motors Rapid Access Microfiche) program provides one copy of the following microfiche publications in each set:
Campaign Bulletins from 1971 through current model year. Technical Bulletins from 1975 through 1981. Information Bulletins from 1975 through current model year. Serviceman Bulletins from 1978 through current model year. Labor Time Guides from 1974 through current model year. Service Manuals for current year. Quick Reference Guide (Labor operations not in LTG).
One set is applied at no charge to each dealer enrolled in the program. Additional sets are available at a cost of $15.00 each. See Addendum "A" on the back of the attached order form.
Although each new dealer (less than 2 years old) will receive an initial GRAM Microfiche set when ordering a "New Dealer Set-Up Package" this does not automatically enroll the dealer in the program. Each new dealer must fill out the attached order form to enroll in the GRAM program and indicate the total number of sets they wish to receive (total should include the one free set.)
A dealer already enrolled in the GRAM program who wishes to change the number of sets currently received, should also fill out the attached order form and indicate the total number of sets they wish to receive (total should include the one free set).
This GRAM microfiche package is also listed on the Cadillac 1985 Service Publications Order Form as item H-2236. Dealers who have ordered additional sets of item H-2236 using the Cadillac 1985 Service Publication Order Form IPrior to October 1, 1984 will have the number of additional sets requested added to the number of sets currently received. After October 1, 1984, dealers who wish to enroll in or change GRAM orders must use the attached form.
Zone offices will be supplied with additional quanitites of the attached GRAM order form. Dealers may obtain additional order forms from their Zone Office.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
