PAINT IDENTIFICATION PASSENGER VEHICLES
VEHICLES AFFECTED: All 1984 Cars & 1985 FWD 'C' Cars
This publication will allow you to identify the different paint technologies, colour standards and manufacturers' paint codes used on the 1984 model year cars and the 1985 FWD 'C' cars.
This year, as in the past, different paint technologies and colour standards are being used. It is essential that the paint technology be determined to ensure the correct repair procedures are used.
The paint technology and colour standards can be determined by referring to the body identification plate on the vehicle. This information is summarized on the Paint Technology and Colour Standard Chart, Figure 1.
