AIR CONDITIONING MOAN/NOISE (DISAPPEARS WHEN A/C IS OFF)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1985 Oldsmobile and Buick 'C' Models Equipped With 3.0L or 3.8L MFI V-6 Engines

A moan type noise may be experienced on some early production cars off idle with the air conditioner compressor engaged. The noise disappears when the air conditioning is turned off.

If this condition is diagnosed, replace the compressor clutch with a new clutch of kit #2724325. This kit also contains a new clutch dust cover and attaching screws which must be installed.
