This bulletin provides information on the GRAM program and ordering paper copies of the Labor Time Guide.
The GRAM program includes the following current model year publications:
Service Information Manuals*.
Campaign Bulletins*.
Dealer Service Information Bulletins (DSIB's)*.
Service Bulletins*.
Labor Time Guides (includes all model years 1980 to present). Included in final printing of microfiche only.
One GRAM package is supplied at no charge to all dealerships. Additional sets are available at a cost of $30.00 each. Each new dealership will receive an initial GRAM package in the "New Dealer Set-Up Package".
A dealership wishing to receive more than one set of microfiche should fill out the attached order form and indicate the additional number of sets they wish to receive (they should not include the one free set). Once a dealership has sent in an order form, they will continue to receive that quantity every year unless a new order form is sent in.
Dealerships wishing to receive copies of the current Labor Time Guides in paper format (in addition to microfiche) may do so by completing the attached order form. Once a dealership has sent in an order form to receive paper copies of the LTG, they will continue to receive that quantity every year unless they complete a new order form. New paper copies will be printed with each LTG microfiche update. The cost for paper copies will be $20.00 per copy for 1989 models only, since only the final will be printed, and $65.00 per copy for every year after 1989. Ordering paper copies will ensure dealerships get both 1989 and subsequent model year copies. Return order forms by November 30, 1989 to get a copy of the 1989 LTG. Orders received after this date will not receive 1989 LTG's, however, 1989 will be available as past model information (see below).
The attached order form should be used immediately if dealerships wish to receive more than one GRAM package, or if they want to receive paper copies of the Labor Time Guide. The order form printed on the back of this bulletin may be Xeroxed to make future order changes.
Charges will be billed against the dealership's open account.
Past model paper copies of the Labor Time Guide are available from Helm, Incorporated using the wholesale order form. LTG binders and index tabs are also available from Helm.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
