REVISION: 04/05/95
THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO CHANGE WORDING IN PARAGRAPH 2. ******************************************************************
SERVICE PARTS FOR THE TAIL LAMPS, BACKUP LAMPS (SLS) AND LICENSE POCKET (STS) WILL HAVE FEWER RETAINING POINTS THAN THE PARTS THEY ARE REPLACING. THIS WILL REQUIRE THE REMAINING HOLE(S) TO BE PLUGGED TO PREVENT WATERLEAKS.
IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE FOUR POINT MOUNTING OF THE TAIL LAMP (TO QUARTER PANEL) AND THE BACKUP LAMP (TO REAR COMPARTMENT LID) MAY CAUSE EXCESSIVE STRESS TO THE LAMP LENS RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE LAMP.
NEW SERVICE PARTS ARE BEING MADE WITH FEWER MOUNTING POINTS.
FOR 1995 PRODUCTION, THE "FOURTH" MOUNTING HOLE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED FROM THE REAR END SHEET METAL. THIS REQUIRES A CHANGE IN THE MOUNTING OF THE LICENSE POCKET FOR THE STS. ALL FUTURE SERVICE PARTS WILL REFLECT THIS CHANGE.
FOR 1992-94 MODELS, THE CURRENT SERVICE LAMPS AND LICENSE POCKET PART NUMBERS ARE AVAILABLE UNTIL ALL STOCK IS PURGED FROM INVENTORY. IF CURRENT INVENTORY IS REQUESTED AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, THE NEW PART NUMBER WILL BE SENT ALONG WITH A RUBBER PLUG(S), P/N 20715364, THAT SHOULD BE INSTALLED TO SEAL THE MOUNTING LOCATION(S) NO LONGER USED TO RETAIN THE PART. REFER TO FIGURES 1 THROUGH 3 FOR RUBBER PLUG LOCATIONS.
THE FOLLOWING PART NUMBERS WILL NEED TO BE ORDERED WHEN A REPLACEMENT TAIL LAMP IS REQUIRED:
PART P/N ==== ===

REFER TO SECTION 10-8 OF THE SERVICE MANUAL FOR REAR LAMP AND LICENSE POCKET REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES.
