SOME OWNERS OF THE SUBJECT VEHICLES WITH HYDRA-MATIC 4T80-E TRANSAXLES BUILT MARCH 7 THROUGH MARCH 9, 1994 (JULIAN DATES 066-068) MAY COMMENT ON A NO FOURTH GEAR CONDITION.
CAUSE: (FIGURE 2)
THIS CONDITION IS DUE TO A THIN WALL IN THE TRANSAXLE CASE FOURTH CLUTCH SERVO BORE AREA. SUSPECTED CASE DIE #12A WITH 4,5,6 OR 7 DOTS.
REPLACE WITH A NEW GOODWRENCH TRANSMISSION (SRTA) UNIT.
REFER TO YOUR GOODWRENCH TRANSMISSION CATALOG FOR THE PROPER MODEL IDENTIFICATION.
FOR VEHICLES REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY, USE: LABOR OPERATION: K7000 USE PUBLISHED LABOR OPERATION TIME.
