1992-1993 Eldorado and Seville, 1993 Allante, and 1994 DeVille and Concours leather seat covers are made from a leather called Nuance. This leather is new to Cadillac.
To maintain its appearance and increase its longevity, Nuance leather should be cleaned frequently. To clean, simply use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and a mild soap or saddle soap. For more stubborn dirt or stains, a 10 percent rubbing alcohol and water solution can be used. Wipe the leather clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive brushes or pads to clean Nuance. Because dust and dirt may harm the leather if allowed to work into the finish, Nuance should be cleaned immediately whenever soiled.
Never clean Nuance with oils, varnishes, solvent-based or abrasive cleaners, furniture polish, shoe polish, Armor-All (R), or Scotchguard (R).
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
