THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO CORRECT A PART NUMBER AND ADD WARRANTY INFORMATION FOR WHEEL ALIGNMENT. PLEASE DISCARD BULLETIN #433001 (GROUP REFERENCE 3 - STEERING/SUSPENSION). ----------------------------------------------------------------------

SUBJECT: HARSH SUSPENSION PERFORMANCE (INSTALL NEW STRUTS/SHOCKS AND RECALIBRATE RSS MODULE)

MODELS: 1994 CADILLAC CONCOURS BUILT BEFORE VIN BREAKPOINT 260382

CONDITION:

SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON HARSH SUSPENSION PERFORMANCE UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS.

CAUSE:

CALIBRATION OF THE SUSPENSION COMPONENTS MAY CAUSE HARSH RIDE UNDER SOME NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS.

CORRECTION:

IMPORTANT - PROPER WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND TIRE PRESSURE MUST BE VERIFIED BEFORE AN ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS CAN BE MADE.

INSTALL FRONT STRUTS, P/N 22064567 LF AND P/N 22064568 RF; REAR SHOCKS, P/N 22064569; AND RECALIBRATE THE RSS MODULE USING THE APRIL, '94 TECH 1 CD ROM UPDATE. FOLLOW SERVICE MANUAL PROCEDURES IN SECTION 3C (FRONT SUSPENSION), SECTION 3D (REAR SUSPENSION), AND SECTION 3G2 (ROAD SENSING SUSPENSION) TO PROPERLY INSTALL OR UPDATE THESE PARTS.

PARTS INFORMATION:

PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM GMSPO.

THE STANDARD PART NUMBERS FOR THE INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT ON VEHICLES WITH CONDITIONS OTHER THAN HARSH RIDE CONCERNS.

IMPORTANT: THE PART NUMBERS ISSUED IN THIS BULLETIN CANNOT BE INDIVIDUALLY MIXED WITH ANY OTHER PART NUMBERS. THESE PART NUMBERS MUST BE REPLACED AS A COMPLETE SET.
