REVISION: 06/06/96
THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO UPDATE THE LABOR OPERATION INFORMATION. PLEASE DISCARD CORPORATE BULLETIN NUMBER 63-12-05 (SECTION 1 - HVAC). *********************************************************************
SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON A LACK OF SUFFICIENT A/C COOLING IN CITY TRAFFIC WITH HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURES, 90 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT, (32 DEGREES CELSIUS) OR GREATER.
INSTALL SEALS, P/N 25612350, AROUND THE CONDENSER AND RADIATOR TO IMPROVE AIR FLOW ACROSS THE CONDENSER. INSTALL A NEW ORIFICE TUBE, P/N 52460909. THE NEW ORIFICE TUBE IS YELLOW. THIS ORIFICE TUBE WILL INCREASE A/C HIGH SIDE PRESSURES AND SHOULD NOT BE USED WITHOUT THE CONDENSER SEALS INSTALLED.
THE ELDORADO ETC AND SEVILLE STS HAVE AN AUXILIARY ENGINE OIL COOLER THAT IS TO BE REMOVED. REMOVAL OF THIS COOLER WILL IMPROVE AIR FLOW ACROSS THE CONDENSER AND AID IN A/C COOLING. WHEN THE COOLER IS REMOVED, AN ENGINE OIL COOLER LINE, P/N 25630621, AND FITTING, P/N 3541408, HAVE TO BE INSTALLED.
THE DEVILLE REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF THE ORIFICE TUBE AND THE INSTALLATION OF THE SEALS ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES OF THE CONDENSER ONLY.
FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE IN THIS BULLETIN FOR INSTALLATION OF THE CONDENSER SEALS, NEW ORIFICE TUBE AND ENGINE OIL COOLER HOSE (ETC AND STS ONLY) FOR THE PARTICULAR VEHICLE BEING SERVICED.
