Linear Shift Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Power Tilt\\Telescope-Column Shift

1. Remove the shift lever. Refer to Shift Lever - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
2. Remove the automatic transmission shift lock control only. Refer to Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



3. The lock cylinder should be in the OFF or LOCK position.
4. Insert a small screwdriver into the slot on the lock module assembly and push against the locking tab to remove the park lock cable assembly (1).



5. Remove the 3 flat head 6 lobed socket tap screws from the linear shift assembly.
6. Remove the linear shift assembly from the steering column.

Linear Shift Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Manual Tilt, Column Shift

1. Remove the shift lever. Refer to Shift Lever - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
2. Remove the automatic transmission shift lock control and bracket only. Refer to Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



3. The lock cylinder should be in the OFF or LOCK position.
4. Insert a small screwdriver into the slot on the lock module assembly and push against the locking tab to remove the park lock cable assembly (1).



5. Remove the 3 flat head 6 lobed socket tap screws (1) from the linear shift assembly (2).
6. Remove the linear shift assembly from the cable support bracket (4).
7. If necessary, remove the 3 flat head screws (3) from the cable support bracket (4).
8. Remove the cable support bracket (4) from the steering column.
