Removal Procedure

    Caution: When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, you must disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

  1. Remove the right console accessory trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

    2. Object Number: 493725 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the blower resistor (2).
  3. Remove the fasteners (1) that retain the auxiliary blower motor resistor (2).

    4. Object Number: 493721 Size: SH
  4. Remove the auxiliary blower motor resistor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 493721 Size: SH
  1. Install the auxiliary blower motor resistor .

    2. Object Number: 493725 Size: SH
  2. Install the auxiliary blower motor resistor fasteners (1).
  3. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the auxiliary blower motor resistor (2).
  4. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
