Wiring Harness Replacement - Inflatable Restraint - Instrument Panel V4U, APL

Caution: When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, you must disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System .
2. Remove the passenger (right) insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
3. Remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) from the instrument panel (IP) wiring harness.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
5. Remove the IP Inflatable Restraint Harness Assembly (2).

1. Install the IP Inflatable Restraint Harness (2).
2. Connect the electrical connector (1).
3. Install the CPA to the electrical connector.
4. Install passenger (right) insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System .
