Removal Procedure
Important: The CD can not be removed from the navigation data processor after the
power has been disconnected from the processor.
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
- Remove the CD from the navigation data processor.
- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Remove the upper trunk trim. Refer to
Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
- Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to
Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Remove the rear shelf carrier. Refer to
Rear Shelf Carrier Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Disconnect the electrical
connections (1, 4) from the navigation data processor (2)
and from the radio receiver (3).
- Remove the fasteners (1)
retaining the navigation data processor / radio bracket to the
rear shelf.
- Remove the navigation data processor, the radio, and the bracket
assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove the fasteners (4)
retaining the navigation data processor (5) to the navigation data
processor / radio bracket (2).
- Remove the navigation data processor (5) from the navigation
data processor / radio bracket (2).
Installation Procedure
- Install the navigation
data processor (5) to the navigation data processor / radio
bracket (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the fasteners (4).
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Install the navigation data processor and the bracket assembly.
- Install the fasteners (1).
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Connect the navigation
data processor (2), and the radio receiver (3) electrical connectors (1,
4).
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
- Reinstall the navigation CD.
- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Install the rear shelf carrier. Refer to
Rear Shelf Carrier Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to
Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Install the upper trunk trim. Refer to
Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
