Cellular Telephone Docking Station Replacement Base andDHS

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the center seat lower storage compartment door in order to access the cellular telephone.

  2. Object Number: 581792  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the cellular phone.
  4. Remove the phone from the docking station.

  5. Remove the fasteners  (1) securing the phone docking station (2) to the center seat phone adapter.
  6. Remove the docking station.

Installation Procedure

  1. Align the cellular phone docking station (2) to the center seat phone adapter.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the phone docking station fasteners (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  5. Connect the cellular phone electrical connection.
  6. Install the phone to the docking station.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 577888  Size: SH
  1. Open console lid in order to access cellular telephone.
  2. Remove the cellular telephone from the docking cup (2).
  3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the cellular phone.
  4. Remove the fasteners (1) retaining the docking cup (2) to the console tray.
  5. Remove the docking cup (2) from the console.

  1. Install the docking cup (2) to the console tray.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   3. Install the phone docking cup fasteners (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (1) to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connections to the cellular phone.
  6. Install the cellular phone to the docking cup (2).
  7. Close the console lid.
