Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Important: Inspect the seal washers for damage.
Replace the seal washers that are damaged.
The sealing washers do not require lubrication.
- Connect the evaporator hose assembly to
the condenser.
- Install the evaporator hose nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
- Connect the evaporator hose (2) assembly to evaporator core.
- Install the evaporator hose assembly nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Connect
the evaporator hose assembly to the accumulator.
- Install the accumulator nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
- Secure the evaporator hose assembly (1) in the snap clamp (2)
on the accumulator.
