Removal Procedure
The rear floor service part comes pre-cut to the appropriate size for sectioning.
It does not need to be modified. The rear floor extension panel must be replaced
separately.
- Remove all related panels and components.
- Visually inspect and restore as much of the damage as possible to factory
specifications.
- Locate, mark and drill out all factory welds rearward of the crossbar
connecting the rear rails to the floor panel.
- Locate and drill out the welds attaching the rear floor panel to the
wheelhouse.
- Cut the rear floor along the rearward edge
of the crossbar. Be careful no to cut the crossbar of rear rails (1).
- Remove the damaged section of the rear floor panel.
Installation Procedure
- Drill 8 mm (5/16 in) holes for plug welding in the service
panel as necessary in the locations noted from the original floor panel.
Important: A service floor section must be welded at the forward and rear edges of the
crossbar.
- Position the service floor section on top of the original floor and check the
fit.
- Plug weld accordingly (1).
- Install the rear floor extension panel
(1) and plug weld accordingly.
- Clean and prepare welded surfaces.
- Apply sealers and anti-corrosion materials as necessary.
- Prime with two-part catalyzed primer.
- Install all related components.
