Removal Procedure

The rear floor service part comes pre-cut to the appropriate size for sectioning. It does not need to be modified. The rear floor extension panel must be replaced separately.

  1. Remove all related panels and components.
  2. Visually inspect and restore as much of the damage as possible to factory specifications.
  3. Locate, mark and drill out all factory welds rearward of the crossbar connecting the rear rails to the floor panel.
  4. Locate and drill out the welds attaching the rear floor panel to the wheelhouse.

  5. Object Number: 414387  Size: SH
  6. Cut the rear floor along the rearward edge of the crossbar. Be careful no to cut the crossbar of rear rails (1).
  7. Remove the damaged section of the rear floor panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Drill 8 mm (5/16 in) holes for plug welding in the service panel as necessary in the locations noted from the original floor panel.

  2. Object Number: 414395  Size: SH

    Important: A service floor section must be welded at the forward and rear edges of the crossbar.

  3. Position the service floor section on top of the original floor and check the fit.
  4. Plug weld accordingly (1).

  5. Object Number: 414398  Size: SH
  6. Install the rear floor extension panel (1) and plug weld accordingly.
  7. Clean and prepare welded surfaces.
  8. Apply sealers and anti-corrosion materials as necessary.
  9. Prime with two-part catalyzed primer.
  10. Install all related components.
